Echo 1 G36C Hop up not working

I recently cleaned my gun and i think i pushed the hop up thingy with my cleaning rod. The gun's hop up was not turned off all the way before cleaning:banghead: . Now the bbs barely go halfway across my yard. I was wondering how i could fix this problem.

You may have tore the rubber sleeve inside the hopup unit. Only way to tell is to remove the inner barrel and hopup and inspect.

Maybe you should take it to a gun doctor since it sounds like you don't know anything about disassembling or servicing it.

G36 Disassembly

Hop up Disassembly

That should help even if you haven't serviced a gun before... Also, that's a freebie. Google AND the search features are lovely.

hey hope it works out for you...i hope i am not jacking this but it is related. I am having an issue with Betsy's hop up ...It seems to be on all the time. I turn it all the way down and I am getting about 100 to 120 feet before the bb starts to fly to the moon on .3s

I have my hop up on table and it seem sit has a fair bit of bb damage now...it has white streak on the inner hop up rubber where the bbs have been impacting the rubber in the hopup chamber upon loading. I am wondering could the nub be too large? I am also wondering if Betsy needs a better rubber installed ... I am wondering if I installed the rubber for under less powerful or cqb rifles so many moons ago when I put the hop up back in... :banghead: ... what hop up rubber do you recommend for a 400fps AEG? I like to shoot .28s or .3s... (ty Groo72).

Could a hop up rubber for a cqb AEG (330 to 350) be the cause?

Just wondering if I should replace the whole hop up or not. (I do have a spare )

any hoo any helpful input is always appreciated.

No offense, but isn't 120 feet REALLY GOOD range already?

At "the farm" we need range to keep Pawscal away

Before this hopup debaucle I was a good 150 with Betsy and keeping groupings to about 3 feet. I miss the 30 feet. Right now at 100 feet my groupings are about 1 to 3 feet per 4 found bursts...not very consistant. I hate wasting bbs.

Thanks Man. I have one that can work...maybe? http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=962

what do you think my friend? I also have a guarder I think...now where did I leave my darn hop ups... I best go look in workshop...there is cold beer there

You should be able to shoot 150-200 feet in terms of range with a good AEG, but the accuracy beyond 150 feet will pretty much suck. I can hit stuff 150 feet away with my Type 56 and my M15 rifle, but there are a lot of stray shots.

If the BBs are turning skyward at 120 feet, then it's more than likely too aggressive of a hopup setting for whatever reason. A new hopup sleeve would probably fix that right up.

I haven't ever measured my range :P
