M15A4 Wiring Problems?
If you read my last post you would already know that my M15A4 is bad news. I still havent got it fixed from the last problem, but now the motor wont even turn. The battery is full, but nothing happens when i pull the trigger. I borrowed my friends piston and cylinder head to fix my last problem, and it worked for about 100 shots and the same thing happened again. So i opened the gearbox again and when i tried to shoot it, nothing happened. Help please.

Unfortunetly being from the states noone can directly help you physically from Canada. You may want to seek aid in an american airsoft forum.
However, please check to make sure you havent blown a fuse. If that is not that case you may wish to pop the mechbox and make sure everything is aligned correctly. Aside from that I can only recommend that you find an airsoft gun smith in your area to work on it.

Have you tried using a different battery? I have had a lot of problems with my M15A4.
I had my selector plate crack. So when I switched to semi or FA it would technically still be in safe. Also, the CA trigger assembly is balls. I have had it corrode on me twice with two different sets. Open 'er up.

Buy a TM? :P
I'm not failiar with the last post on your gun, but it sounds like it's time to move on.......... or replace everything inside including the electical system. |

I would suggest the fuse as well. Perhaps the motor is seated too high and jamming the gearbox?
Personally, my CA M15 rifle has been very reliable to date. I've put about 10 000 rounds through it without any issues to date. No misfeeds, jams, etc. I know CA pistons and piston heads are prone to failiure, so I have a Systema piston, piston head and cylinder set waiting to be installed as soon as I see the first sign of trouble. But to date, no issues.

Lol, i would have but this was $150. I would have like it to work because its "american", but it doesnt look like its going to happen that way. Classic army sounds like a 90% hit and 10% miss rate from people that have been posting so far. Im going to look into a new gun

Canadian Stalker, you posted on my last post. I had my piston jam in the back of my gearbox. I was locked up hard and you told me to post on ASR for help in america.

I've been working on a CA M4 electrical problem since ysterday, things I found was carbon (black) build up on the contacts, both 'leaves' as well as the trigger block contact (used my Dremel with a sanding disk to bring up fresh copper, then tinned it with solder), I reflowed the solder joint on the battery wire contact since it didn't seem to be making good contact, and I replaced both the connectors that hook up to the motor. I've got good connection on it now when the trigger is pulled, I just have to reassemble the gun and try it out.
See if any of that info helps you out. Oh ya, the gun had been rewired and has a Deans connector in it all previous to my working on it. |

I'm not sure if your M15's battery is rear or front mounted, but on the cable that has the battery clip, there's a small fuse box. The fuse is inside that. Check it to make sure it isn't burned.
If the fuse is ok, then you can check to see if you actually have an eletrical problem. Remove the motor from the grip, and connect the leads to it. Hold the motor and pull the trigger to see if it actually works. If it works, you can confirm that the problem is inside the mechbox and not electrical. If it doesn't work, then you know you have an electrical problem.

Read my post and open your mechbox, see if yo uhave carbon build up ro grease on the contacts. Both cause a similar problem to the blown fuse thing.
