Pantac/Phantom knock off?!
So apparently there is an issue of knock-off's being made from a knock-off of the EAGLE branded CRIAS. So how can you tell if it's real (almost an oxymoron there)?
Does anyone have any specs on the PANTAC/Phantom CIRAS and the quality of the materials used? read article here: http://www.filairsoft.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7027

That's the funniest shit I've heard in a long time. A knock-off company complaining about knock-offs.

I just think they were pissed cause they tried passing the knock offs of the knock offs under phantoms name. That'd be like some company making fake Eagle brand stuff and passing it off as if it was actually made by Eagle.

Old new...
check the date... August of this years.... almost 5 months...c'mon If you want the best thing, just buy a real Eagle CIRAS... otherwise, get a knock-off... I really doubt that for AS purpose it really is worth it spending 1000$ on gear... |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

Everyone I know who uses the phantom CIRAS loves it, Pantac is the exact same thing under a different name. Like G&P and WGC custom guns lol

For the last goddamn time, Eagle is far and above Phantom. One is a copy of the other. Combat Integrated Releasable Armor System (CIRAS) is an Eagle creation. There is only one true CIRAS, and it's made by Eagle. All other "CIRAS" are copies thereof. One is made by shifty Asian workers in a dingy factory somewhere in the PRC or Taiwanese interior, who don't give a shit what stitch goes where, while the other is made by workers who know that if the difference between missing a bartack and doubling one up may be life and death for a combat soldier. One is a product of hundreds of thousands of dollars of R&D and extensive field-testing and user evaluation, each part of the unit is a certain way because of these inputs, while the other is a reverse-engineered emulation of the former. If you want to play airsoft with it, Phantom is enough. It is specifically copied and marketed for airsofters and cosplayers. If you want to 'Stan it, buy Eagle to avoid your premature ramp ceremony as much as possible. It is designed to survive combat situations and make lifesaving access (or ditching) a split-second process.

You definitely get what you pay for man...While the Phantom/Pantac CIRAS is decent for a replica, it is nowhere near the quality of Eagle. You can see the different just by the materials that they use. Ask anyone who uses real steel gear...theyll probably tell you that that the Cordura used in Phantom gear seems to be 700Denier which is used alot less. That alone is an indicator of the difference in quality. BUT for 1/3 - 1/4 the price...you really cant go wrong when it comes to airsoft. Everyone wishes they could afford and use real steel gear but the fact of the matter is that replicas are sufficient for what they are being used for and dont break the bank like the real stuff.
