M60 Dissasembly

Ok so I searched the old threads to find something, but it's either I'm a complete idiots (wich is fairly possible) but just don't understand how to dissassemble my TOP M60 Shorty...

I need to change my gears but I just can't reach them. I haven't found any manuals or they were in chinese and possibly hand drawn...

So thanks alot in advance!

LOL

Good luck.

The offical manual is hand written.

Check with CDN-Stalker, he did work on my M60 twice..

It's basicaly a pain in the ass to reach the gearbox. You have to unscrew almost everything, feed cover, butt stock, all screw on the both side of the receiver, the cocking handle.

I did reach the gearbox but never figured out how to remount everything. So i recommanded you to send it to CDN-Stalker and let him do it for you.

He is just the best.

<Blush> Thanks for the plug Red.

Ya, I got a box full of parts and had to figure things out on my own, and some tips from Red (he barely knew much about it either since he got it in parts).

Was back in Late Febuary that I worked for a week on it, so I'm rusty, but know the stock has to come off, top cover, motor out, cylinder/piston assembly, inner cover................ should get you pretty close to the gears, then unscrew the mechbox sides and remove from the body.

your going to have to pm TANK10. he had a top m60 he disassembled and reassembled numerous times. and he can prolly get you a copy of the manual or walk you through it. if your real desperate pm me and i can get you his #, he would have no problem talking to you about it.
