Asian, No nose bridge solution
So I orderd a pair of Arena flakjak goggles, and the bridge on my nose causes a gap were BB's may enter at cetain tragectories. So I went to Crappytire, and picked up some foam weather strippiping. Its a roll of foam strips with one adhiesive side, so i attached it to the area with the gap, and it covers the hole. Just thought i'd share that with you all who have the same problems with goggles.

Ya man, thanks, but I'm just telling people who have goggles that aren't an Asian fit a suggestion on how to fix the gap.

ESS also makes asian-fit goggles, ballistic rated, up on their site under military/LE goggles. Guess I'm lucky that I'm only half asian so I can use white man goggles.

Been watching the ESS line over the last month or so - too bad they haven't released replacement lenses yet. Also a shame they haven't yet released Turbofan models in asian fit.

I was under the impression that normal profile and striker lenses fit the asian-fit models, it was just the area around the nose that was different. One could buy both an asian-fit and turbo fan model and remove the fan unit from the turbofan kit and install it in the asian-fit goggles. Would require some work and void the warranty but its possible and kinda worth it, no one else makes fan units with 150 hour battery life as far as I know.
*Edit* whoops, "flatter lens curves" guess it isn't compatible with any other lenses available. Last edited by LUTNIT; November 13th, 2007 at 03:27.. |

only draw back to the foam is it's eventual break down from facial oils and sweat etc.

wow i never thought i would see it so bluntly "Asian Fit". It makes sense, but i guess im so used to the PC'ness of canada, that i never though i would see something so straightforward and blunt... its refreshing.

Apparently Asians are immune to flying projectiles. Only swords can kill us.

The foam comes in a whole big roll so that mean, replace with it falls off. You can always use a dot of cement sealent to keep it on. |
