ksc g23f acceptable magazines?
What magazines are acceptable for the G23f?
Any 18c and 19 mags? Im not sure which to get at aasurplus (http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/index.php?cPath=38_48_50) and arent sure if the extended mag at aasurplus will work. Thanks! MadLz Also on a side note, according to aasurplus the mag catch on the 23f is metal, so would it be unnecessary to buy an upgraded guarder metal mag catch? Thanks! any ksc glock mags for the glock 17,18c,34,19 will work. with the shorter glock 19 mags you will need to remove the grip extention.

edit: I did not know the 23 had a metal mag catch, if it is metal I can't see it being totally necessary to change. if it is metal that is. Last edited by Tex; August 31st, 2007 at 16:02.. |

Unless something had changed significantly, the mag catch on the G23F is the same plastic type used on the other KSC G-series.

I got into the habit of pressing the catch when inserting a mag.

G19 mags will fit right in. The lower frame on the 23F and the 19 are exactly the same. |

awesome guys thanks a lot!!!
One last thing: How do you decock this thing if you want to carry after you have loaded a round in the chamber? And if you have to have the slide locked back to change from semi to auto, wont pulling the slide back after a roudn is chambered to change from semi to auto put ANOTHER round into the barrel making the gun malfunction with 2 bb's now chambered (slide pulled twice)? Thanks, Madlz |

Take the mag out and pull the trigger. Reinsert mag.
:P Although, if you think about it, carrying a Glock in condition 3 isn't practical, because you have to rack the slide to charge it. And in doing so, you'll expend the loaded round and put a new one in the chamber, which will cause an airsoft pistol to double-feed. It makes more sense to carry Glocks in condition 4, unloaded and uncharged. If you have to rack the slide to charge it anyways, it'll load a round at that point. Personally, I always carry my pistols in condition 4. It saves the hammer spring. Regarding the select-fire: Yes, pulling the slide back a bit will chamber a new round. You can drop the mag out while you switch fire and then reinsert the mag.

+1 to Scooby Steve - pressing the mag catch while inserting/removing will save enormous amounts of wear.
Also helps prevent the well-known heavy wear on mags when one replaces stock G-series mag catches with metal upgrades. |
