yummy... how's she shooting with all those goodies in her?

I really like to use the P226 and one day, I'll have to do some upgrades to her.

Like a dream bruce man, get the right ammo in her, .30+ and I can hit a guy, and I have, over 60 feet away through a space no wider than my arm, was a sweet shot, and all I hear was "how the hell are you shooting me!"

Shoots so far, dead accurate every shot.

So I'm o bit of a noob when it comes to gbb's so bear with me. For the upgrades you have done the only ACCURACY affecting part is the tight bore right? I just ordered a tm P226 so I am trying to figure out what thing i can do to tighten up its grouping once i get it. Also, How much did you get the tight bore for and where did you get it from? Thanks

everything helps a bit in performance part, tightbore helps big time, the valve kit helps for consitency, I actualy dont know where the tb is from or how much, it was the only upgrade in the gun when I bought it from Torn, ill have to get the specs from him.

good god that is one sweet gun. renegade you have single handedly used only pics and words to convince my next GBB to be a TM P226~!!!

Some questions please?
1. what are some very basic and not that costly upgrades i should get for my new p226?
2. what creation kit do you have? i can see on UNCompany that there is only one that has the outer barrel and slide. Do you recommend any other kits besides creation but are a little more cost effective and have more in the package?

Thanks a lot!

hehe, glad I could share the enjoyment of the 226! Uncostly and for sure a smart upgrade off the bat if you run propane would be the enhanced recoil and hammer springs, they actualy help absorb some of the power from the propane as well as give you a much crisper blowback and you notice it wehn you rack the slide.

Maybe ILLusion can give total details on the Creation kit, I think he had it in his stock for like a year or more, so im not sure where he got it. I hear Guarder is ok.. half the price so its not as top end as Creation, I would avoid G&P from all that I have heard as well.

I hear that is a factor with the Creation, getting the entire full kit is very hard to come by right now. Lucky me it seems.

Derek, we'll do a 226 dual... 10 paces and shoot out. har harrrrr.

Regarding the different kits, I have a reversed opinion on the G&P and the Guarder: Get the G&P, avoid the Guarder. The Guarder one has a pretty poor finish as well as requiring destructive mods to the stock Marui parts in order to install it. To me, that's a deal breaker - the more a destructive modification is required, the less likely I would recommend it. It renders the part completely unable to use ANY brand besides the brand it was modified for. To me, that's stupid engineering.

The G&P from what I hear is a fairly easy drop in upgrade like the Creation. Minimal mods required. As usual, with any GBB metal kit, there will almost always be some minor filing/fitment required.

I ordered the Creation kit a while back when they first came out. Even I don't remember where it came from - it was either WGC or UNCompany. Note that lower frames are prohibited items. You risk higher chances of seizure if you order it on your own.

the G&P kit comes with the part that the guarder needed to be modded so you can switch back to the marui parts if you want
they are essentially the same design with G&P being less expensive and comes with that part and a metal outer barrel
I heard the opposite that the G&P slide is a tight fit and kind of sticks making it have a very unsmooth cycle action
also heard that the trades are not as deep as the Guarder ones

I think I issued that challenge to you before Next game you actualy make it out too man, we have to have a 226 dual!!

And my bad I mixed up the kits lol, Guarder is the one to avoid, there was another G one somewhre that I heard was total crap, G&P was the pretty good one for the price, it comes with the outer barrel and a new recoil set as well.

anyone know where i can find the G&P kit? UN and WGC either dont have it or are out of stock.

Im thinking of getting a set of springs as renegade mentioned, the G&P if it can be found, otherwise no choice but to get only the creation slide & outer barrel (only thing in stock can't find the full kit including frame, anyone?), and a threaded outer barrel so i can put a silencer on the p226.

comments/suggestions?

Sounds like a good game plan, and ya I hear u on the full kit, I am glad I "splurged" and got it haha, I shouldnt have, but I dont regret it at all, the difference and feel is just amazing Im sure u can live with the slide and barrel for the time being, it will add a good realism and performance to the gun, silencers and neat for sure. Spring kit is a must tho, enhanced loading nozzel and piston lid are a good idea too for reliabilty.

Thought I would post up some new pictures of my baby, real hogue grip finished, dremeled, and installed with real SIG P226 Hogue grip screws. Unfortunatly right now it is 3/4 as one thread(on the body) stripped on me so I had to install a stock brass thread nut into the body to use a stock screw.

and YES the front got a bit scuffed from the FOBUS holster.. I cried a little, but hey, its a field gun, im gonna touch it up and buff it later.

Enjoy!
