ECHO-1 G36c gearbox compatibility
After opening up the mechbox on my ECHO-1 G36c (and twitching at the sight of how they over-lubed it) I decided to test the shimming and upgrade the mechbox with a new spring. This was before I read skruface's stickied guide on upgrading.
After some failed attempts at installing my GUARDER SP120, I ended up with a broken spring guide (only the side wings). I reinstalled my mechbox with the normal spring, and it works like a charm. However, now I plan to buy a new spring guide and bushings to complement my spring upgrade for more durability. Thus leading to my next three questions: 1. Does anyone know how compatible these parts are with ECHO-1's products?: http://www.wargameclub.com/pcart/sho...01_cat_Guarder Guarder Steel Bearing with Double Oil Channel for All Marui AEG http://www.wargameclub.com/pcart/sho...05_cat_Guarder Guarder Spring Guide for Gearbox Ver 3 2. If not, what do you/your people suggest? 3. Does anyone have or does anyone know anyone that're selling these parts locally? I find WCG's shipping rates a real ripoff from what I'm used to seeing. Just as a side note, now I learned how much more convenient it is to have an actual TM product instead of a replica. Externally it looks the same, but internally it's a different world. I replaced my JG g36c internals completely, (there was not anything wrong, but I thought there was, long story). I used a systema spring guide (came with bearings) and m120 spring, and guarder everything else. everything fit good except for the cylinder head, for which the knobs in the mech box where too large for the holes in the cylinder head and had to be rotary tooled down. I image the guarder spring guide will fit fine, at most it will require a quick file of the slots in the mech box for the tabs but only if there is flash there. As where to get parts, I would recommend ebay if you don't mind the wait, there is a well used airsoft store there (Based in HK), that while shipping is expensive it still come out cheaper than ordering in country (I find at least).

You guys are fucking awesome, many thanks to you both!
I checked out iLLusion's goods and he has a decent amount of gear for sale as well, aside from airsoftparts.ca anyone know anyone else with a relatively large stock of items for sale on these forums? IIRC, I remember seeing a thread where internal upgrade parts were for sale at a discount price set by someone outside the classified. |
