TLP (TOP?) Battery Charger - Model AC940-E (Fuses?) - Problem Solved!

Three years back, when I bought my first AEG, I received a TLP battery charger as part of the deal. Of course, immediately after buying the AEG, life, career, etc got in the way & everything sat, packed away, until just recently.

Here's the problem - having just recently received my gun back from Matt & 13ones at Warcraft Games, after a long over due tune up & new battery, my charger apparently does not work.

* Normally, TLP chargers are quite fan noisy - mine, nothing, no noise what so ever. (It gets pretty warm to the touch, but no fan action.)

* After hooking up my new 9.6V - 1700 Mah battery for the usual discharging/charging procedure, the following happens: upon pushing the "discharge" button, the discharge comes on, then within ten seconds, there is a loud "CLICK", & the discharge light goes out. When I attempt to push the charge mode button, nothing happens - I'm left with the power light on, but no apparent charging taking place.

* I've visually inspected both fuses for this charger, A 10 AMP fuse (Red) located on the front of the charger & a .5 AMP fuse (glass tube type) located on the right rear back panel, located inside the body - both of which appear, visually, to be in good shape.

So, am I doing something wrong in hooking up my battery, or is something wrong with the charger itself? I spent a couple of hours trying different techniques, wire placement, wriggling connectors, etc, to no avail.

Does anyone out there have experience with these types of chargers?

EDIT:

Not wanting to give up on a battery charger I've never used I went out this PM to track down some fuses for it. The 10 AMP were no problem, found them at the local Lordco.

However, my problem lies in finding the correct style of 110Volt - 1 Amp fuses. The charger itself requires a narrow type fuse. The standard auto type of these are to large, diameter wise, I've discovered, and of the three places I tried, The Source (Yipe!), Canadian Tire (Ugh) & a local RC shop (at they tried to help me...), no one has been able to help me so far.

So in a nut shell, what type of fuse is required for this style of battery charger, and where can I find them?

EDIT:
Problem Solved! Charger required a Nexxtech 250V - 1 Amp Fuse (Part #2701171) - located at The Source (I know... I know... but they're close to where I live...)

Charger works great!

Insert Snoopy Dance here...
