Fatboy Versipack

Anyone tried one before? What do you think about them? Looking to keep all my junk ie wallet and cellphone in it while I play. I don't wear any MOLLE vest/plate carrier. Just a chicom chestrig and a hiking vest, looking to lose the vest for the summer, and need an alternative to keep stuff in.

I know Wheelers, has a sale on them right now. I was thinking about picking one up.

I've got both the Fatboy (khaki, 2nd gen) and a Thermite (OD). Wife now uses the Fatboy as an everyday diaper bag.

I really like it. Lots of space and the newest version has a velcro belt loop to keep it from swinging around on you. If I could get another one I'd definitely do it or perhaps get one of the Monsoon gearslingers instead.

i've read from other reviews that there are lots of room. But are the room useable? I don't want it to be to compartmentalized as I want to put all kinds of things in there, a tactical man purse for hiking and fishing etc as well as airsoft.

That all depends on what you intend to carry. We've been able to fully utilize all the pockets for whatever we've needed. Just needs a little forethought as to what you use most and where you want it placed for reachability. The main pouch fits lots; especially with the rain collar extended. If you need even more space then consider the jumbo fatboy or perhaps consider the monsoon instead.

I wouldn't use it for airsoft except perhaps as a dump pouch/holster/id/misc holder combination for CQB/indoors. Definitely wouldn't want it on my body when playing outdoors as I'll already have other gear on.
