PSG-1 barrel (650mm), in an AUG
Hey I want to put a 650mm PSG-1 tightbore barrel in my CA AUG A2, I want to know if my AUG will be able to handle it? Or should I upgrade the mechbox a bit? Or negative impact on the gun. Someone I was talking to said his gun had a lot of barrel suck.

With the extended psg-1 barrel you will most likely get barrel suck. The type-0 cylinder (full cylinder) in the aug has only enough volume for the 550mm x 6.0Xmm (either .05-.04) barrels. If you really wanted to use that barrel length you will need a bore-up kit, but those kits require you to use a M140 spring for it to function properly. With that spring you will go over the field fps limits.
I got the psg-1 589mm x 6.03mm barrel on my aug, with a M120 spring. Im using the stock TM cylinder (its pretty worn down). So far i only got barrel suck once when i was doing 3-4 bbs bursts. |

Thats what I've heard from a few people. What is the fps limit where you play? Here I believe auto's are aloud 400fps and snipers 450fps. Do you find with the 589mm barrel for it to be quite accurate? I do plan on using full auto on my gun from time to time, so if you get barrel suck if you shoot more than a couple at a time it may not be the best for me to use.

The field limit is 400 for AEGs.
Ya the 589mm barrel is quite accurate. A lot more than the stock TM barrel. With a new cylinder i think it will get rid of the chance of barrel suck, since my current one does leak some air. |
