Selector switch removal

Hey all,

Any tips for removing the little selector switch screw on the inside of an M4 AEG? The plate on the opposite side doesn't feel like popping off (king arms body). Are there any low profile right angle screwdrivers that fit in there?

I'm about to attempt to dremel or cut a phillips head off a screwdriver or something and use pliers to twist it. I REALLY don't want to do that if I'm just missing an obvious way to do this easily.

Thank you for any input.

Normally the little disc is press fit in or glued. Give it a light tapping.

You should be able to use a right-angled hex key >6mm to leverage and pop off the right-side disk. It's glued into the receiver.

From that point, a thin Philips screwdriver would do the trick on the actual selector switch.

I tried this, but I suppose I wasn't trying hard enough. I did take a spring loaded RPK bipod to the head right before I tried, so I blame that, lol...

To weaken the glue you figure I should just heat with a lighter or torch?

Afterwards I'm guessing a dab of super glue will keep in place again?
