AK47 Handguard
Hi ASC,
I've purchased a rubber front handguard set, and the lower handguard seems to be too long? I have a CYMA all wood AK47, and I purchased something like this http://weaponblender.com/CYMA-C49-AK...ACK-p3479.html The lower handguard does not fit the back metal bracket, and it seems to be too long as I cannot re-secure the bolt that fits under the front barrel.

first, pastic not rubber..
on the lower hand guard did you slot it into the receiver? it should fit perfectly against the receiver, then you should be able to slide the metal tab back and lock it into place. Also what brand was the hand guard? because a few companies have different mounting methods. Last edited by R.I.T.Z; July 2nd, 2014 at 23:51.. |

It is a knock off brand. It slotted the nub into the receiver, the metal bracket doesn't even fit onto the guard. Even with the nub slotted, the lower receiver sits about 5-7mm too long.
going to refund it tomorrow Do you know any brand that fits perfectly onto a cyma?

Refunded and got an UTG AK Dust Cover with Rail knock off
that didn't fit either, it's 3mm too short and the dust cover button hole was just a tad too small for the button to pop out. Will require some filing later on.
