Near Empty Propane Tank Causing GBBs to Malfunction?

I haven't been able to go out to pick up another propane tank yet, so I thought I'd fire off a quick question here.

As the title states, would a near empty propane tank cause gas blowback airsoft guns to malfunction? I can fill up my KSC G19 magazines, but trying them in my gun simply makes my gun vent the gas or just not operate at all.

I've looked over the actual pistol and I'm not aware of any problems. Can anyone answer this question for me?

Sounds more like a seal issue on the pistol.

Have you been running lube with the propane?
How old is the pistol?

Don't muck with the gun until you have another NEW propane tank. Empty tanks cause all sorts of weird problems in GBB's. If the problem persists, then let us know.

Yes. If there isn't enough pressure in the tank, the pressure between the mag and the tank will equalize very quickly which will prevent sufficient gas from flowing into the mag. So you're shooting a mostly empty mag and it vents.

Yes, I have been using lube with the propane. The pistol is quite old, but I'm not sure exactly *how* old, as I got it in a trade.

Good to know. I tried the hot water test on the propane tank and it feels like the tank level is very low. I will pick up a new propane tank immediately and report back.

Had some minor cycling issues when I got my G18 (used); turned out my tank was low in fuel despite the appearances;
As soon as I used a new one, everything was fine

Was not venting gas though, but I'd say try a new can before starting worrying

How much gas in the mag, if you brush the valve with you thumb does it vent or do you have to apply noticeable pressure?

I know my guns start to malfunction when I barely hear the liquid in the tank when shaking it. There is still some liquid left, but not enough to fill my mags.

If you pour hot water down side of the tank and follow up by your fingers, the LP parts will be colder than the rest.

So, after going out to get more propane tanks and filling up my magazines once again, it still didn't work. However, in my frustration, I ended up disassembling my Glock again and found out that my impact hammer was broken... So, does anyone know the best place to get another one? :/

The odd thing is that even the area where the spring holds onto is all mangled. I have no idea how that happened.
