Echo1 M28 Metal barrel tip removal.
Hi guys, im trying to remove the metal tip at the end of my Echo1 M28 rifle, so I can install the thread adapter and i just cant seem to get it off. There is little to nothing for pliers to grip onto and no manual came with the gun. Im assuming its a counter clockwise thread but I don't wana reef on it to hard in case it damages the gun. Any tips or instructions on how to get it off would be much appreciated.

Its clockwise threading.
Stand the rifle on its butt, jam the palm of your hand down on the front of the barrel and turn (lefty loosy) while applying downward pressure.

Finally got this damn thing off. It seems that when they powdercoated the barrel, they did it with the barrel end in place, and the powder coat material fused the end onto the barrel.
Took some serious reefing, and the barrel end is now toast, but the barrel itself is almost unscathed...a little touch-up paint and she'll be fine. |
