G3 / CA33 gearbox fitting issue
Well here I am stumped and frustrated again!
I have a CA33 with a broken trigger and gearbox. I purchased a brand new Echo 1 G3 gearbox so I would have the correct trigger. I receive the new gb and when I go to put it in, it will not fit. Both are V2 gearboxes, so what is the problem here? I have an Element Deluxe M4 / M16 gb and when I put the G3 selector plate on it, it fits and functions no problem. The m4 trigger is very uncomfortable and it won't function with a g3 trigger (another ????) but it will fit and function. The Echo 1 box?? I cannot even get the screws in the grip to line up. I can see that the selector plate is different, but even with the Classic Army selector plate it will not fit. Any ideas or expertise with G3's would be appreciated. I think the Echo 1 box would be from the JG T3, but I am not sure. |

I believe the ca33e gearbox isn't shaped the same as the standard v2 gearbox. What I think it is, is just like classic army's mp5s. Where it's a v3 mechbox design with the exception that the motor is set up like a v2.

The CA33E and CA33KA3 use a standard v2 gearbox. Only thing that is different is the hopup controls on the hop chamber. I do see that each manufacturer's gearbox differs slightly however. For example, to put a Raptor Mosfet into my CA33E, I had to shave a little off of the bottom of the circuit board. Did not have to do that with a G&P gearbox.
CA's MP5's are also just standard V2 gearboxes. Last edited by EagleDriver; March 10th, 2013 at 10:18.. |
