Maruzen P99 GBB Magazine

Recently received my P99 gbb back from the gun doc and he could not figure out the problem. He completely disassembled it and replaced all the worn o-rings and some springs. After all of that it still wont cycle. He then gave it back to me, free of charge, and said the only other thing that could be wrong is that the magazine is hooped.

That being said, is there any one in the Greater Vancouver area that has a Maruzen P99 Gas Blowback magazine that they would be willing to let me use for testing purposes? Can meet nearly anywhere that is convenient for them.

Thanks for looking.

What's happening exactly? What makes you think a different mag will help, etc?

Just what my gundoc said may be the problem. He said that this is the first gun he was unable to diagnose and he has been working on Japanese guns for about a decade now.

The only thing he was unable to try was using a different magazine.

I have 2 Maruzen P99s; both are fairly old now. One was bought damaged as a parts gun, the other has cycle issues. I've yet to solve it, though I suspect the problem lies in the blowback mechanism somehow. The pistol will fire a BB, but the slide won't blow back far enough to load the next shot.
I have 3 mags, not sure if any are leaking (haven't tried them in ages, but they were fine when last used).
I live in Richmond; PM me if you'd like to compare notes & try different mags, though I suspect they're not the issue.

Hey sorry for the late reply but I would love to try out one of your mags if you would let me. The problem you are experiencing is exactly what it wrong with mine.
