increasing range on a aeg
so i own a g&p m4 running with 390 fps with .20 gbbs and recently i been to winter games, what i find was that my gun was failing in the range department for some unknown reason and sometimes refuses to fire if the hopup is dialed to the top setting. why is it doing this? is there any recommendation for upgrades that might increase the range and reliability no matter what weather it might be? or atleast try to make the range more to the far side?

1) the hopup is on too much and it's jamming the gun, happens to every gun
2) when it's cold out, the rubber gets stiff, causing the gun to jam more easily 3) use .28s if your at that FPS 4) upgrade your hop rubber, either guarder black, firefly hard, or PDI W I hear is very good |

Guarder black here. Also some promy bucking. Guarder ones are half the price tho if ur on a budget
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...ex&cPath=66_80 Also the cold will effect the air compression and stuff as materials shrink in the cold u could have a smal air seal leak that becomes big in the cold.

I think u may have more then just hop up issues did u chrony the gun? Did u check for gear box damage ie: cracks near cylender head. Check for air lwaks around cylender head. Make sure nozle seats in hop up properly.
Have u adjusted the hop up befor and had it running well? Like 150ft of good range? How many rounds u got on the stock hop rubber. Did u ever have thebop up and inner barrel apart and forget to put the nub in? I mean my pistols are good out to 120ft or so with relatively stock parts. Most my aegs 150-200 ft with nothin more then a barell and or rubber swap. More like 250 feet on a good inner and rubber and well tuned hop and. .28 bbbastards.

It's a barrel modification, stick to the guarder black, it's $8 and you can get 200ft out of it easy

Probably not somethin u wanna mess with untill u get more technical knowlage. Baisicly u have to slightly open the hop up windo on your inner barell and then trim the rhop rubber to fit the window and to not over hop bbs lotta time and tuning goes into makin em work well. Once they do they are awesome from what i gather but they are a bunch of work and there is alot of room for error.

IN my experience the stock G&G hop up rubber leaves a lot to be desired in the cold

PDI all year round. It's soft enough so a small adjustment doesn't send your rounds skyhigh
