KJ works M9 elite firing problem
My M9 fell out of the holster during a game today and now it does not fire well. What happens is that I can make the first shot and then it does not return all the way back and i cant fire a second shot UNLESS I put the safety back on, then it keeps firing like nothing happened WHILE ON SAFE
Also now, if i manually cock it first, and pull the trigger, there is kind of a delay and it does not fire properly, and feels weak. Ill be opening it up tomorrow to see if i can find the problem, but can anyone point me in the right direction and what to look for. Thanks Last edited by Biowipe; August 25th, 2012 at 20:54.. |

Fixed the safety problem today: it turns out that there is a spring under the right hand guard that creates tension on the lever connected to the hammer, it was not in the right place. Once it was placed correctly, the problem was solved.
Might be interesting info for some: took me a while to find what the right angle and position was for this spring so while experimenting with it I made it super tight and placed it in a way that created "too much" tension on the lever and as the result, the pistol was shooting in bursts of 3-4 rounds. Any tighter and I think it would go full auto. Anyways now I have a slightly different problem: the mag falls out when the shot is fired. It stays in in place when not fired and upon the inspection of the mag catch/release everything looks good, nothing broken. Is there something else that holds the mag in place or any ideas how to fix this? |

There isn't anything else except the mag release that holds the mag in place. If your mag release is worn out the mag may sit too high and when the loading nozzle hits the top of the mag is may push it out.
