Unhappy New AK front grips too small

Help! I bought a new front grip set for my AK a while back, and finally got around to putting it on, but it seems to be about 1/8" shorter than the stock parts, so there's dubstep levels of wobble going on and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions along the line of any expanding foams I could use to get everything snug.

EDIT: It's an Echo 1 Red Star Wolverine, if that helps at all.
Part is:

If you go the foam rout, its messy and you will have a hell of a time getting them off. I would try to take some Epoxy or JB weld and build up the edges until they are snug in their holders(right word?).

DON'T use foam, messy yes but it also won't solve your problem as it is still compressible when dry.

Find some 1/8" thick plastic, cut and glue some small pieces of it to the handguard.
Stuff some wadding into the horse shoe recesses where the handguard sits.
Use construction adhesive to build up the handguard a bit, it dries solid but can still be trimmed with a knife.
