WE M4 closed chamber *not firing in auto*
Hey guys,
My WE M4 (closed chamer) has decided to be a prick. Out of the blue the full auto function is not working. I have not taken apart anything except field stripping it to apply lube. Initially I thought it was my CO2 mag that was the problem but then i tried all my other propane mags and its still the same. Semi works fine but when it is in full auto, it will shoot only once. When I pull the charging handle some gas comes out and again, shoots once when I pull the trigger. One solution I found out was if I hold the mag and exert a force upwards, will shoot in full auto. I thought on great probably the mag catch. No, I even swapped out the mag catch and it is still the same. All my other M4's are fine so I don't know what is wrong with it. Anyone even encountered this issue? If so how did you fix it? If it comes down to it I'll just get an open chamber kit hoping that it will fix it.

check your bolt carrier, the big white spacer at the back, is it pushed up towards the middle of the bolt carrier? IF so this is your problem, it needs to be pushed all the way back. That or part #54 is broken. CHeck your entire trig unit over to see if anything looks broken or not as well. Gas guns are finicky as hell.

It could be three things. Take out your bolt, look at the white plastic spacer. Where is it? It should be at the very end towards the stock. Sometimes it will move and cover two holes in the bolt carrier and this will happen.
Second issue could be if your selector switch is very warn or damaged. Take it out and inspect it. Third issue is if part #48 and #54 and #57 are not seated correctly or if they are malformed or damaged. My bet is your spacer. Edit; Beaten to it by Ballcancer while typing.
