KWA 2gx Gearbox problem?

Hey all,

I have a KWA g36c with a 2gx gearbox in it. I took it apart to replace an air seal nozzle the other day and noticed when I cycled it on the battery the piston is stopping about half way down the barrel every shot on semi.(I can see it through the vented cylinder) It does do the whole cycle but this seems to be the spot where it wants to come to a rest.

I am not sure if it is supposed to be this way, it makes sense for it to stop at with the spring with the least tension, so a little clarification would be great and a little help if it is indeed a problem to help me get it sorted would be great.

Possibly a stripped piston or broken piston head?

No, it still does the full cycle, but it continues back the cylinder and comes to a rest at 1/2. I am not sure if this is normal. Like I said, I assume it would stop at the bottom of the stroke once the spring is unloaded.

I would say almost every time. Every odd shot I don't see the piston head through the cylinder vent, say 8 out of 10.

Kind of figured this one out, using a 11v 1800mah lipo and gun is over cycling on every odd shot.

Yes, this sounded like overspin. In order to correct this problem, either use a lower power battery or an active breaking mosfet.

Ok wow, didn't read original post all that well....

Id say over spin too, but they should be able to take 11.1v lipo without to much issue.
