kwa m226 shooting to the left

the BB is taking a deliberate leftwards vector once leaving the barrel, doesn't seem to be hopup adjustment affected. I replaced the hopup rubber/bucking, installed as per assembly diagram from kwa, the barrel is free from dirt or scratches. Hopup adjusts as normal and effects rise of the BB as you would expect, but a higher degree of hopup does not seem to create a more leftward vector of the BB, nor does less hopup do the opposite.

What else could it be? The result is the same with 4 different magazines, 3 are brand new.

I think maybe the bearing in the hop-up are not lined up right. I'v had the same issue with one of my KSC/KWA G19's. Just had to take a little care when re-assembling the hop-up thats all.

if you shoot your pistol a bit in angle like that / does it tend to curve to the right ?

also..what distance are you targetting? And...did you lube the bits during assembly?

When I first fielded the gun I was testing at the range at the field, distance was probably 80-90 ft. On a man sized target, I was actually having to aim beside the target, probably off a foot and it would hit every time, so it's accurate, just shooting off center.

Since then I can only test in my basement which is about 40-50 ft. I haven't measured exactly but the leftward vector seems to be pretty consistent, it's not a curve, and yes, I did check the sights to see if they are centered :P

update:

spent a good 15 minutes cleaning the barrel a few times, oil, clean, oil again, clean til dry again... oil again... result?

6 in wide grouping, almost dead center at 50 ft. Some drop and climb and a bit of variance side to side, I will call that BB wander as even the highest quality BBs seem to wander a bit. So now, more or less, its starting to center out.

More BBs still seemed to wander left rather than right, but there were more centered around where I was aiming than previous. Almost satisfied... lol.

In most guns you can fidget with the outer and inner barrel to realign the hopup a few degrees. Not sure about this specific gun though.

the inner barrel floats in the outer on this gun, it's aligned and locked together by a bracket being tensioned by the recoil spring. There's not much rotational or side to side play in the barrel that could cause the leftward vector.

But I still believe this is not hopup related, as changing the hopup doesn't change the sideways vector.

Wow that's embarassing... I reread the first post... anyways... Is it possible the barrel is bent?

since the inner free floats in the outer, they wouldn't fit together properly if the inner was bent, though in all honesty I haven't done the roll test on the naked inner barrel to see if it's bent or not, but if it's sliding freely in the outer barrel, I doubt it's bent.
