Play between M4 lower/upper receiver

Hi guys! After many, many and many disassembly of my VFC M4A1 GBBR, there is now a little play between upper and lower receiver. I'm guessing that the wholes where the 2 push pins pass have used a bit and got a little bit bigger. Except of course replacing the receivers, anything to do? I can't think of anything. With the mag insert there are no more plays. Thanks!

Even on real steel AR's there is a little bit of play between the upper and lower receiver. There is not much to gain from removing that play.

The Magic Pin will solve the problem. I've installed them in a few guns and it worked like a charm.

avoid that like the plague. it will put stress on the hole and cause it to crack.
if the receivers were made from 7075 T6 aluminum, then there wouldn't be any problem. since VFC makes their crap from pot metal, expect that tab to brake in a month or two.

The Magic pin do work. Don't over tighten it but just snug it up and that's all you'll need. Also, don't forget to loosen it when disassembling your gun. It can break the tabs if you don't.

Ok thanks guys for the answers! My gun is a wall hanger so it's not stressed at all. I'll try the magic pins so It's just that when I received it there was no play at all and even if on real ar's there's a play between them, if for 20$ buck I can solve it, I'll try!

I just looked to order them but the shipping is 24$ for 2 small push pins. Is it because of the Canadapost lock-out?

yes. just wait until the lockout is done if you don't want to pay.

btw, you only need 1 as it's the front pin where most, if not all, the play is.
