New Airsoft laws?
Ok, haven't been on here in a while, I've basically been doing what everyone else has said for those under 18 to do is wait until you're 18, BUT theres been some stuff going on recently which has re-drawn my attention.
The first of which are these new full-metal/black guns available through CAS and Mach 1 Airsoft. What has changed that makes this legal? When did this happen? Mach 1 Airsoft is even bringing in select Classic Army and ARES guns, whats the full story? The second, theres a store near me which is a paint ball store, but since the new ownership and the field now having air soft walk-ons, the store now sells Airsoft guns as well. Rumor has it, the store can get you Any gun you want. This seems sketchy, I mean, if theres new laws, then why doesn't all these Airsoft retailers start bringing in any guns they can? Thats why half of me thinks its bullshit, but if its true, it also seems very illegal. Maybe a bit of clarification on the matter? Thanks guys. |

the discussions about these laws is in the age verified section for importation reasons.
unless your verified sadly you wont be able to get the answers to the questions you've asked, even though they are great, they teeter on the edge f telling underagers how to get guns and where to get them. but basically Full metal are legal you still have to be 18+ we still cant tell you how or where |

There are no new laws, but retailers are following the exact letter of the law to successfully import certain airsoft guns. Anyone who can import "any gun" is either lieing, abusing a BFL or smuggling.
Edit: I hate you Ritz.

gotta be up pretty early to beat me :P
me - 5 you - 3 but the laws about airsoft have been brought more to the light and by following them to the letter more guns are becoming available to the Canadian market, as stated without a bfl or illegal means |

Long story short, they're probably smuggling. You're right not to trust them. Sooner or later they're going to get caught if they continue like that and all us smart people will shake our heads at them in an "as expected" fashion.

Just wait till your status gets updated to AV'd and you'll have all those questions answered in the sections you'll then have access to.

Check out the media section for starters, filled with pictures of full metal guns people own in Canada. Should speak with your AVer about some of the guns kicking around, they should be able to inform you pretty well.

You'd be surprised what you can find out by being over the age of 18. |
