Corporate/Company liscensing for importing.
So I know that it takes alot money and other legal boundaries for a company to be able to import air soft guns from other countries into Canada but I haven't been able to find any information about the process. Can anyone shed some light on the subject for me? I'm just a bit curious as to how these companies do it. Also, if there are companies that can import guns from the states, why can't they just import them cheep and then sell them for a bit higher (enough to still make profit) here in Canada? I can't imagine they wouldn't want more sales.
Ive been thinking on this for a bit and being that I don't know all the hoops a company would have to jump through to be able to sell guns in Canada like some do, I just thought I'd come on here and ask. There seems to be MANY very knowledgeable people in here and again, I can't seem to find it anywhere else on the internet. Thanks! -Pyro PS. Please don't take this as any sort of attack/troll/whatever it is that may offend someone, I would just love to know more about this stuff. I assumed the Newbie Tank would be a good place for a post like this |

:banghead: Yeah i was wanting to know the same things, about importation methods, and buying methods. the sites i visit say international so why isn't there a continental airsoft shop?
Some company should do that, obtain a license and pretty much ready to ship anywhere in the world... i emailed airsoft gi about this, they don't do continental. i currently sent ehobbyasia an email about continental shipping haven't heard anything from them as of yet. im just finding out who ships to Canada and who doesn't The hunt is on! for me anyways. -sarge

What I gather is that there is a difference between importing airsoft guns and selling them (eg. Company X [who has the liscense] buys guns from Y company in the states for cheep, brings em up, and sells for Price+15%), and How such companies such as Cabelas or EdmontonAirsoft. Its just this difference is what is confusing me which is Why i made this post.

again the answers to importation laws and questions is in the age restricted part of this forum. if we where to give the answers here every little kid would try to import and then blame us if it didnt work, and the soccer moms would have shit fits more so then they do now about full black evil guns. also ASC's policy is no guns until your 18. giving you an answer would be breaking this rule.
Get AV'd and you'll have more answers then. |

There is information available on importation in the age restricted verified portion of the forum. You have been informed about this many times.
Please refrain from making any further threads on the topic. If you really want to know how Cabelas gets their items you could always try calling them and asking nicely.
