unable to replace hopup
Ok I bought a new MEU from a member here after mine got stolen, and the gun seems to work fine and all, but I have a problem with it: the BBs won't stay in the chamber when the slide come back if I don't ride it back smoothly... If I point the gun down, it just falls off slowly.
Now the guy said me it could only be the hopup that needs replacement (I find it weird cause the gun is supposed to never have been gamed... but whatever). He included another hopup in the package so I decided that I would give it a try. however I can't seem to be able to disassemble the thing... there is 2 screws on the side of the hopup unit, but it does nothing when I remove them. The inner barrel and hopup unit are stuck in the outer barrel... Here is a picture of it. It pisses me off, I generally am good to understand how things are made, but the devilish contraption is just beyond me lol. |

pull the hop-up and inner barrel out of the outer barrel.
unscrew. change. re-screw. push hop/barrel back into outer barrel install in gun ??? Profit! |

No muscle should be required:
YouTube - Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa Disassembly You'll want to pay attention to 01:14 of the video. It's a Hi-Capa, but the basics are the same. |

That's an ARMY MEU he has, can tell by the marking on the chamber, this hopup fits VERY tightly inside the outer/chamber.
Next time, take a flat head screwdriver and GENTLT wedge it in between those parts that are jamming and LIGHTLY tap it out. In your pic, the hopup isn't maxed out, maybe try turning it up before even removing it. The stock rubbers on this guns aren't all that great, I put a TM hicapa one in mine as soon as I saw it, it's very soft and flimsy and covered in oil and it appeared frayed inside (even though brand new) You might also need to bend the hopup adjustment arm if you intend to run heavier bb's as well.
