M4 Motor Tab
Well on the motor where you connect the wires, the metal tab broke off for some odd reason
Is there anyway to fix this or is the motor trashed? And if soldering the wires directly to the motor, where would it be soldered to.

Sometimes it can be soldered directly, but most of the time you can't.
And with an M4, you generally want to be able to easily remove the wires for disassembly. |

Avoid soldering the wires to the motor on gearboxes without a motor cage; like your M4.
There should be a screw on the same side as the broken wire terminal. The easiest fix is to get a thin strip of metal and bore a hole into it. Then carefully remove that screw and replace it immediately, but through your little tab of metal. Now you have a new wire terminal. It is in slightly the wrong location, but it is the easiest fix. |
