Nozzle Leak down? / Swelling orings
Recently installed:
Mask 3G Cylinder head & Piston head (sorbo tab) Modify Air nozzle. Problem: When piston is pushed through cylinder and finger is held over the opening on the Cylinder head where the nozzle would sit (without nozzle present) air seal is tight and no leakage present. Once nozzle is added and same test preformed, slight leak down is present, meaning that the air is slowly leaking out the back of the nozzle past the o-ring. How much is an acceptable rate of loss (i.e leak down) IF any at all... in my mind there should be no leakage past the back of the nozzle, can someone confirm or denie my theory? if there is no acceptable, air loss at the nozzle, since these are nitrile rings, any one attempt to swell the rings? if you have swelled the rings, what was your poison of choice. Thank you for you help! Last edited by OMGWTF; October 21st, 2010 at 01:01.. Reason: Spelling of a two year old.. |

Some leakage with the nozzle on is normal.

They are not supposed to leak.
But in the even that they do, 24h in a bath of ultra light silicone oil usually solves it. |

As for the stock nozzle, I think it was replaced, by the Orignal owner with a slightly longer nozzle, but It still produces the same amount of leakage from the rear of the air nozzle Gun is also an mp5 TM |

Local hobby shop. They all have it. If they don't have something like Royal Oil, they probably have 10wt oil that will work.
Transmission fluid is also supposed to work, but I can't confirm since I always had some silicon oil... |
