Exclamation I have 3 choices and a low budget, please help

Hey guys

Im gonna be playing in a huge forest that my friend owns this summer, and i have to get a gun that is more accurate and has a longer range than those that i have right now.

I dont necesseraly want an aeg, because it will be mostly like infiltration scenarios that we are going to play.

The problem: I have a 275$ budget

I have seen 3 guns that i couldve arrested my choice on, but i need your advices.

1. Aftermath Kraken
No need for a link, everybody knows what it is, but its not good for being silent, cause the sound it makes when shooting is absolutely too strong.

2. Kjw Ruger Mk1: http://albertaairsoft.com/store/prod...?id_product=23
The only problem i have with this one is that i am not used to gas guns, and that i dont wanna pay 15$ per green gas bottle. I oculd buy a propane adaptator, but is it simple to install? what are the maintenances that i would have to do on the gun, and how regularly?

3:http://airsoftprograde.webs.com/airsoftgunsused.htm
This is a swiss arms sniper, that i can get for about 150$ plus shipping.
It comes with a good bipod and a nameless scope. The only cons; It is Swiss arms, which is like cybergun(whick means bullshit) but with a different name, and it is USED, and i didnt have good experiences with used airsoft guns.

I would personnaly prefer the KJW ruger Mk1, but I have to know if maintening it in perfect condition is hard.

Thank you guys and please, no : " there are no airsoft guns under 350$ and you need boots and all this gear, i dont need them right now, these summer games will be my first big ones, and it will be with friends only, i juste want a gun which has good range and accuracy, i dont give a fuck about the firing rate.

Ps; sorry for my bad english.

get av'd and look in the classifieds

Joined 2008? wait you know about av then, so why don't you get av'd?

are you underaged?

if so, then we will not encourage you or suggest which gun to get.

also, nice touch with the "private forest my friend owns" bit

So many kids are lucky enough to own forests and islands, yet can't afford a proper airsoft gun.

I'll just comment about the propane adapter question for you... they simply screw on to a propane bottle. Nothing else to it

Please don't try to buy a gun from my store if you are underage, Canada Post won't hand it over.

Without a sufficient amount of funds you definitely will not be able to purchase anything of remote quality or durability. Neither of any of the choices you have made are even worth the $275 budget you have.

Your budget is the biggest problem. If you want accuracy and distance you will require to purchase something that will either provide it out of the box, or purchase a platform that you can upgrade to perform to your standards. Summer is still a few months away I would start saving those pennies now in hopes that you can scrape together a decent amount to buy something of quality.

In the end if you dont acquire additional funding I suppose you could always purchase the kraken, your cons list for purchasing it is silly in my eyes as all auto electric airsoft guns make noise when you fire them. If you think its to loud then you can open up the mechbox and reshim all the gears that may reduce the sound a little bit. Once you install a decent hopup rubber in it you should be able to perform....modestly. It should be sufficient for your needs to say the least.

I would advise you to wait, because none of what you posted is really a good investment.

Having said that, I get that sometimes you just need to get out and play, and you need a gun to do that, so....

I would have to say Kraken, noisy or not, the others are basically tossing your money, not to mention the risk of used gear. It's the best investment you can have for the dollars you have.

If you just want something for the game, I'd go with the Ruger. It's decent gun and the cash you have you can buy the propane adapter and gas. Plus it's a better option if you are doing a sneak and peak.

And you will look all Rambo attacking a village with nothing but a pistol

GET AV'd and save up more$$$!! if you can't do either go for tha Kraken because I like AK's :P really though, IMO 275 isn't enough to get much of anything with solid range and accuracy. and noise is unavoidable in AEG's.

+1 on saving money, believe me, buying a tokyo marui gun for your first gun is a REALLY good idea. Think of resale value.
You can buy a chinasoft now, and when it breaks down in a year, it's worth nothing and it's questionable whether or not you can get parts, or if anyone even wants to work on it.
My old marui G3 is 7 years old, fully upgraded, probably only 200$ in the mechbox (saved on gears by using stock G&P gears from my 249), and with 10 mags it's still worth 700$!! AT SEVEN YEARS OLD!!
You'll buy a kraken for $200, and it won't be worth 200$ by next week lol

Its been said.

Get Age verified and check the classifieds and AV retailer section.

I know for a FACT for 275 you can get a decent inexpensive aeg that is worth spending that much on.

If you rebuke this advice then frankly it just goes to speak that you are under 18 in my limited opinion.

You guys are wasting your time replying to this guy, I'm afraid. Just to a search for the other topics he's started over the last 2 years. You'll see a pattern developing.

As far as I'm concerned, correct advice has already been given (and will be ignored) and nothing more can be added to this thread.

crunchmeister i dont know whats the pattern your talking about, unless its being a noob, posting noob questions and postin'em in the NEWBIE TANK!

which is, if im not wrong, perfectly correct

but those who answered (1 or 2) i will follow your advice and get the ruger mk1, it will be useful when i will be airsofting for real.

ive been around for a while and i know your rules and totally respect them
im gonna wait to be aved to buy my first aeg, cause when i will buy my real gun, believe me, the starting investment wont be of only 275$

this was a amount supposed to buy a gun to have fun this summer playing in a forest with 11 other guys who enjoy the sport of airsoft and the thrill of surviving in a forest for 72 hours without water and food and to have the feeling that your always gonna get shot.

thanks for those who really answered, im gonna get the mk1
