Let us also consider the newbies budget for said m4 purchase. In a perfect world where money is of no issues then run out and find a vfc or G&P in the flavour of your choosing, aside from that expect that smaller things will be of lesser quality and indurance when it comes to the lesser named rifles. A king arms rifle can be made into a reliable shooter tho, few internals, shim job and some proper lube and go throw some bb's and don't worry about it. It ultimately is about what your willing to pay, not about what you want really.

he's right ^ vfc and g&p are the smexy rifles to look at if you got the coin, but the king arms will work

I'm a g&p fan ( little biased lol )

Personally I'm only picking up an M4A1 for an Iraq 2003 impression, and it gives me the option of being Tan in a game instead of Vietnam OD's. I'm on a budget and I'm more concerned with external upgrades to look the part, than so much internal as it'll rarely be gamed.

If a King Arms AEG be externally upgraded with RIS and possibly an M203, fantastic. Would RIS and M203s be universal or compatible with certain brands? If compatible, what brands would you recommend on a King Arms platform? Thank you

WE M4, 16 inch steel WA barrel with Tonic adapter, G&P steel front sight, Angry Gun steel ambi selector lever, New Age dust cover, forward assist and charging handle, MAG steel receiver end plate with QD sling mount, Dytac stock, Guarder RAS, MIAD replica grip.
RS parts - Mil spec buffer tube, BCM castle nut, RRA mag catch, Spkies barrel nut, DPMS handguard cap, Colt take down & pivot pins, Cadex stubby grip & lastly a crush washer behind the flash hider.
Still might re-finish the light grey zinc parkerizing of the barrel & front sight to a darker color that resembles manganese parkerizing .

Suggestions for the 20"? I'm not as big a fan as I thought I was going to be of it... might swap the MOE for a good ol' M5 rail. Need a short dot on it too.

I think the long MOE rail looks really cool. It's definitely not something common.

I agree. I don't particularly like the regular MOE grip because of its commonality, and because I don't find it particularly attractive. However the long one is very much the opposite. Very cool looking set up

Ordered my CMR rail today!
