Looks like an RRV with the back plate.

Nope, an RRV would go much more to the sides (many other differences, but it's the biggest one).
That being said you're not too far, if I'm not mistaken this would be an MBSS replica (whose backplate can be used with the RRV).

Only pic i really have right now of my kit, but its not done yet.
-a&k masada acr -rothco black combat shirt -khaki cargo pants (ill buy something better eventually, but they are comfy) -cant see em but ive got a set of tan magnum 8" combat boots -replacing the gloves soon with a set of oakly hard knuckle ones -and the mask is going to get replaced with a decent set of 5.11 shooting glasses -using a ciras right now, but have an RRV incoming instead to keep the rig a lot lighter

I finally started gathering a few bits for my PMC loadout. I picked up some black kneepads, a dropleg holster, and I got another pair of brown dickies "carpenter" work pants (I have 2 pairs already I wear at work...they are durable and comfy)
Small start, but a start nonetheless....

Just my ten cents, and I may not be right, but it's a forum, we're here to discuss things! =P
Looks like anyone going for a PMC/Merc look can get away with whatever the heck they want. Being on a company without strict uniform codes pretty much allows you to get awaything you can come up with. That being said, PMC/Merc's would probably follow what most special forces guys do for their loadout. Keep it modular, and change it as the situation dictates. That means MOLLE, and PLENTY of it! Not that you guys ever had a problem with going overboard on that ;P I could easily see a plate carrier with a hydro pack, medic and admin pouches for sure, and lots of mag pouches being the pretty standard rig. Most PMCs/Mercs probably don't have a sophisticated resupply system set up, so they would probably want to carry as much ammo as they can, but like I said, this type of loadout is probably the most versatile. Onto the topic of clothing, from what I can tell, anybody working for a private military is not allowed to be wearing any colour of camouflage that is in service with the armed forces of any government backed military. Sounds like this would allow a private company to design and issue their own custom design and brand of camouflage; I know a man in BC has become very wealthy doing this for some armed forces around the world, but to be realistic, a private company probably won't be able to afford such a thing. Looks like you PMC/Merc guys will have to stick to solid colours. On to weapons, again it seems you guys have open territory once again. AK's would probably be very common, probably the tacticool ones with plenty of rails and stuff on it. After all, the AK is the most produced weapon in history. Everybody uses some variant of it, and ammo for it is never hard to come by. Not to mention that an AK would have more stopping power in a real world scenario. All in all, it has a lot of pros going for it. M4's and variants would probably be the second most popular. They are in service with a lot of armed forces, and STANAG mags are again never hard to come by if one is operating with NATO guys. Again, probably upgraded with plenty of goodies on them. Lights, sights and grips galore. After that, light machine guns like M249's, etc. Ammo's never hard to find for those. For sidearms, again go crazy. Almost anything besides a D'Eagle seems practical. Glocks and 1911s seem to be favourites. Probably wanna put a flashlight on that badboy, as a merc/PMC, you never know what you're gonna encounter. Well, lengthly enough, I think that it can be summarized to it being free territory. If you want realistic, you're gonna be building a practical loadout. If you want flashy movie stuff, you're gonna go for what looks pretty. Just have fun with it, it's a game. We wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't fun! =)

In my opinion, if you're going to make a PMC loadout, why not just pretend you work for your own security company and come up with your own loadout, based on what you think your own company would wear? Airsoft is pretty much glorified pretend warfare, so nothing wrong with playing pretend in this instance!
