Now I'm pissed because the cocking handle doesn't fucking work, not like it really matters but its the god damn principle. Like the cocking handle doesn't slide back more than 2cm. Is this normal or did he somehow fuck up in his infinate wisdom?

Dude...
Just take off the front foregrip..
Take off one little screw there that holds the majority of the gun together...
Take out the front half of the gun...
Then re-install it...
Works every time.

You really should announce who it is, that and talk to the guy about getting your money back. Not announcing who your experiance was with makes you partially responisble for the next guy that gets ripped off.

Lisa is right, by saying who it was will prevent anyone to go to that person, or at least think twice. I'm sure there are many people wondering who this person is so they don't go to him or her.

yanhchan has stated previously that he won't publicly announce the name, but he will provide it to anyone who PMs him. I did just that, and he gave me the name no problem.

Torn: Well I'm sure I can guess the "doctor" by some complaints of over charging I've read in the past. I'm willing to bet it's a walk in store in the GTA.

Maybe getting the info from yanhchan is the best way to do it, then you know you have the right information, and aren't blaming another doctor unjustly (in this case anyway)

If you're thinking this doctor's name starts with a 'V', then you should probably get the right name from yanhchan.

I don't know who did your upgrades, and I don't like to speak ill of what people charge, but you got hosed.

Might I suggest next time you order the parts yourself from wgc and then find a buddy to help you do the upgrades/teach you for a beer or two
LOL agreed but they did my rewiring for free (I did pay for the upgrades though) so w/e right. I'm not going to mention the person's name but I guess he got the point that its not cool to charge for his own fuck ups.

If the original poster wont say who, maybe someone who got the name should do it instead?
Whoever got the name and keeps it secret is contributing to the problem instead of helping to resolve it.

Kuramae at Pacific Mall? Dear god... why did you even go there in the first place?
When everyone tells you to actively avoid a store, there's usually a reason. Now there's one more reason.
Kuramae is even used as an example for newbies of places where they will get ripped-off.
Go with folks who are on our doctor's list. At least they have proven themselves.

So all in all the secrecy was not needed except to enlighten other new players.

Maybe the mods should create a list of places to avoid like the plague, then this shit would only happen to those who dont do some research.
But when I think about it, if you dont use the lists we have, it becomes your problem if you get screwed.

Ok since the secret is ok I'm going to whatever it. I used to think that their prices were bad but when you're in a pinch to get something I went to them, I got pissed at them for selling to underaged minors but I had to get my gun 'fixed' since there were some major problems with it even before its first game. I had no idea who was an ASC doctor, I read the thread and I saw like a few people who weren't in the area and such, but I didn't want to start a thread to get flamed for asking for gun docs because I'll most likely be referred to that thread again. After starting this thread I found out about a few local gun docs here, I was going to go to 6mm but apperently he's bad too from the PMs I've gotten lately. Greylocks is pissed at my stupidity and I don't blame him hell I'm pissed at myself right now, when I went into Kuramae I knew that their prices were going to be nuts but I had no idea that they were going to charge me for shit they broke.

Side note*
I was origionally going to go to a local ASC gun doc whom was recommeneded by a player I met, however this one gun doc had a really hectic scheduel that I couldn't meet up to so in a way I had little or no choice. I'm not going to mention his name because he didn't do shit to me and I would like to apologize for wasting his time with my countless PMs.

Kuramae total is around $170
ASC gun doc would have been: $100-135 max

I'm not going to call them scumbags based on their prices or workmanship, but I will call them scumbags based on their ethics.
