Do so as you please, but refrain from making any reference of this community in your letter. Anything you do, you do so on your own accord.

By not fond of, I meant "Your most likely going to get treated like a lot of the other people who may attempt to import a gun across the border do. Which: isnt good.".

But I see where your coming from Tokyo, my apologizes. I meant it quite generically, as to the population who has stated the info and their stance upon it before to newcomers.

I never knew that the upper was the restricted part on the scar, but now I do. (Isnt the lower receiver the restricted part on some guns, too?)

Dont take this the wrong way but I hardly think you are capable of writing a letter worthy of having an MP (or his assistant[s]) read and take seriously. From the sounds of what you have written in your posts, I stand by this opinion of mine.

Also don't think you would be the first person to bring this to an officials attention. Many have tried (who are very eloquent with their words and show their linguistic abilities) and all have failed.

Its not like we can't get airsoft guns in Canada though. You just have to be over 18 to get AVed on this site and gain access to buy/sell sections, and not act like an idiot less you get your AV access revoked. Not 18 yet? Then keep waiting.

No apologies are required, as long as you understand the point I was getting at. Many of us couldn't be bothered if if someone wanted to order outside of country, although some of us do feel need to explain the possible risks that are involved. I definitely wouldn't lump that in with frowning upon and I definitely do not wish to be lumped in with those "other people" who spend more time flaming and judging than attempting to make an informed post.

Different firearms have different receivers, for an armalite its a lower, as is the AK. For a Scar and an MP5 it is the upper.

Alright, thanks for your kind words, T7.

Also, thanks for the info on receivers. Yea, my TM MP5 that I got today has the serials on it and such, on the upper receiver. Neat.

I think circumvent is the wrong word to use. I'd say "complies with current enforcement standards".

You are correct, compliance works much better.

You will comply, resistance is futile.

Okay... I am in the U.S. right now, and i'm in the best place for airsoft. the airsoft community i'm with is AP "Airsoft pacific". AP is one of the best communities for airsoft in north america. by the time i get back to Canada(2 years from now) i will be 18. the laws here in the U.S. are good, if Canada were to use some of the U.S. laws, airsoft would be more fun for Canadians, Guaranteed. i would have liked to have a petition from this community for wen i go to my MP, but i don't think that is going to happen now...

pusangani, the gun had no trade marks on it in the first place.

Remember my previous comment about a letter? You are also not the first to suggest using a petition either. Petitions on topics such as airsoft serve nothing more than to clutter up the recycle bins of the offices of political officials.

I suggest you enjoy your time in the USA for the time being, save any gear you collect between now and the time you are 18 and bring it back to Canada with you and repurchase something once you are back on Canadian soil.

1. Has a petition from this community ever gotten to the stage of being sent to the government or an MP?

2. I will if there is no other option.

Good thing you came here today.

Holy shit. All of us fools have been sitting around with our thumbs up our asses the past 12 years and it never crossed our minds to write a petition.

Man, do I ever feel dumb.
