Metaltech make black .25s. I've used them before and they're good quality BBs for sure. The only reason I'm using BB Bastard now is that Metaltech don't make .28 and .3 (all I use now) and they're closer, so cheaper and faster shipping than Metaltech. Bastards are only available in white though.

Perhaps in the soon to nearish future they will come out with something that will enable a human being to use kinetic energy to charge batteries while on the go. The idea is already out there I believe and I think its already in testing.
http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/7327046/claims.html For now, just carry an extra battery. My primary battery is an 9.6v 5000mah SubC pack and it can last a very very long time, and by that I mean atleast 2 or 3 games where I do alot of firing. I do have a secondary emergency battery but I have personally never had to use it, Ive ended up loaning it out to others but have never had to use it myself.

lol Yeah, you shouldn't run out of juice anytime soon with that big batter. I run 9.6V 3800 mAh batteries in my M15 rifle and my HK 416. And those things go forever between charges. Good thing they last so damn long, because I can't change them in the field. They're so big I have to completely remove the buttplate on my full stock in order to get them in or out of the guns. I normally just open the door on the butt plate and charge the batteries right in the guns.

I've yet to exhaust an 8.4v 3800mah large battery in a single day in my M4, but I do have an 8.4v 1400mah as a backup that can be swap out from my secondary/backup MP5.
The last game I played at the new flag raiders was months ago. I did lay down a ton of suppressing fire with the M4 and that battery is still reading a little over 8.4v. Has yet to be charged. Been using that battery for plinking and extensive testing in both the M4 and MP5. I am looking to get a 9.6v custom large pack made up for the new stock I'm getting and will probably have a 9.6v mini made for a compact backup since the 8.4's will no longer fit. |
