You shouldn't need a replacement slide catch, have you tried filing the plunger/pin in question yet?

Well, I'm going to return it now, because it is basically going crazy..... automatic bursts, fakeing that it's out of gas, and all that jazz. rrrrrg.

Sounds like you may have the flawed early model, read this link, maybe you can get a replacement from your seller.
http://www.airsoftcommunity.co.uk/fo...0&#entry889943 Here's a partial quote in case the link is down: The first batch used huge amounts of gas which supercooled the mag and reduced gas expansion. This caused the slide to operate sluggishly and sometimes not at all. WE have now fitted new valves and these monsters cycle beautifully (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) As it turns out, WE didn't just replace the valves in the mags but completely re-designed the gas blowback mechanism which is housed under the topslide. The gas is now used much more efficiently resulting in awesome power and slide cycling. PS: I would return it, get a TM or WA and join the happy thousands

I would, but they suck and I don't think they'll let me. According to them, their guns "have 0 warranty"... I'll let you know what they say when they e-mail me back. This gun has given me so much trouble, I'm about to throw it out the window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't spam the forum, no matter how upset you are.
As for fixing your WE1911, there's a wealth of knowledge over at Arnies airsoft. Try searching through them.

OK. Let me give you the FULL model name: WE Full Metal 1911 Tactical Single Stack Latest Edition. Anywhere I can go to get a hi-capacity (or at least highER) magazine? Thanks.

Not even through a TM compatible w/ WE? That stinks. Oh well. I'll live. It came w/ a spare mag anyway.

Since for some reason this site won't let me start a new thead, I'll ask it here.
What's a good brand for bb's? I use Infinity for my nice guns, and Crosman for my cheap guns. Sometimes I use crosman in my nice guns (nice as in $110) and it doesn't seem to damage my gun. What do you think? It's not like I need nice $30 bb's, right? All I do is plink!

I think I might have fixed it. When you take off the grips, there are 2 screws by the hammer. I tightened those, and I think that did the trick.
Also, the slide lock problem fixed it's self. I guess the slide catch just wore down on it's own. Thanks guys! You've been a great help!
