Yup, metal and standardized. The plastic ones are made of a nice nylon and have the same guts. King Arms runs barter town.

I love these guns, I've owned at least 5 of these guns. Always end up selling one then going right back and buying one. Hell even Janus has one of my old ones lol .

But as a first gun I wouldn't recommend it, it really is just a gigantic m4 with a huge mag. A&K/CA uses a proprietary gearbox but everything inside is V2 even the nozzle. If you were going the G&P route then that thing actually uses a V2 gearbox, safety doesn't work on the G&P models though.

Also external parts are readily available and all fit on each other. Mine currently is a CA base with a G&P fullstock, Star/Ares Top tray with rail and a G&P rail system on the front.

Only thing the safety on the 249 is good for is accidentally being engaged preventing you from getting shot by it lol
Darn things can still shoot even with the safety engaged, g&p's safety is unplugging the battery in the easily accesible spot where the belt normally feeds

I should really quit bullshitting, fix my A&K, sell my A&K, and buy a G&P.
But if I buy a G&P LMG I should really just get a stoner.
Fucking airsoft guns, I hate them!

Ive worked on the stoners, really not impressive. I dunno if they fixed this, but the last two I saw the bushing holes were off between the two halves of the shells causing the spur gear to rub on the shell and eventually break. Proprietary shells and they needed to be replaced. You can modify a normal v2 shell to fit though.
The ammo feed system was retarded. And the hop chamber/barrel setup was also stupid. Whole gun seemed pretty rushed in design.
