Scroll down where....? Also, I know about matching cylinder to barrel, and why AEG cylinders are ported. |

Or, instead of porting, you can use the air brake, or make an even longer air brake to make your rifle even more silent.

Have you tried suing the stock psiton oring with laylax piston? Did that with mine, and I had better average fps and less variation

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

I think I got my Firefly hard buckings from Fire Support in the UK. Them and Airsoft Atlanta seem to have some decent VSR stuff, and usually in stock versus the big/common HK suppliers like Redwolf or eHobby.

Firesupport has uk pricing though, typically twice as expensive

So I found out the issue(s)...I think.
I never tried the taping before, but I put in a harder rubber (medium I guess, from a pistol), teflon taped the barrel/rubber, and also put in a 430mm tightbore instead of the standard 303mm tightbore. It shot 494fps! I took out the 430mm and put the 303mm back in, and it was still shooting around 470 or so. I put the PSS10 piston in, and it lowered the FPS so I'll be sticking with the stock TM piston, and whatever barrel gets me to the desired FPS I want to run. |

its wierd that yer piston is causing an issue, i have used two different laylax ones and never had a problem, tho i did find the stoco oring worked better, glad you got the issues semi solved tho

And I tested shooting it off my deck. I was getting nice and straight shots (and hits) at 72yd / 215ft.

at least yeah, what weight of bb were you using?
at ~500fps .40 or .43 should work well (altho i had issues getting enough hop so i took an aeg nub shaved just a lil off of it and stuck it between the lil fingers on the hop up arm, now i can over hop those .66 things) you should be able to get 400-500 feet once you get it all dialed in (if u have the range to test it) sounds like its comming along tho

I was using 0.28's and 0.30's, although most of my shots were with 0.30's. (Bioval)
I doubt I could get to 400 or 500 ft. |

Most people are horrible judges of distance. Not saying you are, but odds aren't good.
For my measurements I was using a rangefinder. |
