MOSFETS How Do They Work?

read through the stuff on DonP's website (damn....slipped my mind..."Unconventional Airsoft"?)....and on extreme-fire.com

There's loads of info, much of it dumbed down to mere mortal levels, on those two sites.

There are LOTS of MOSFETS that can be applied to V3 mechboxes....some no bigger than your thumbnail. But I cooked the last little one I had...so really...keep in mind that heatsinks are a good thing.

You could just buy a PCB that plugs into the balancing port on the LiPo if you want a cheap and reliable alternative to a MOSFET. However it's a good idea to use a MOSFET with a LiPo to reduce arcing and heat buildup in the trigger

And what TC means by PCB is getting a small affordable alarm that warns of low voltage.

Or if you use a LiFe battery in conjunction with the ASCU, both will help prevent over discharge. (but don't leave it plugged in for extended unattended periods of time as it can 'trickle' discharge past a safe minimum on it's own)
