Wei-Tech Hi-Capa Dragon mag issues

YouTube - WE hi capa blowback dragon pistol

So i fill the mag for 5 secs then a 2-3 sec top up and am not getting one full mag out of it. It dies about 2/3 of the way into my magazine. No sound of a leak but not sure what to do besides lube it up. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Might be that you're just shooting too fast and there's too much cooldown in the mag.

Some WE dump alot of gas, far more than is necessary to operate the gun and fire the BB. You know this is the case when you end up with alot of gas (containing oil) on your wrist after firing the gun.

It's a tolerance issue, not much you can do about it. The only way I've been able to solve it was to swap around slides and frames to get the best match-up (not possible if you only have one gun), or go to CO2 mags or other WE or Marui mags.

Definitely a not-so-full Propane tank problem. The propane tank doesnt have enough pressure to fill up the entire magazine anymore.

Buy a new propane tank.

Hope that helps

do not use CO2 unless you want to be picking metal fragments out of your arm, maybe in a better gun, but WEs are shitty and they will blow themselves apart

So my 1st test with the new tank got me through 1 full mag and maybe 8 bb's from another. Then i get a psssstt.... noise and shes done. Shooting slower did help a bit the kick back is something to get used to... i love it. Is it possible there is a small leak? And if so how do you know for sure? Secondly does anyone have a manual for this gun i can download?

That's about right for gas consumption...probably fairly good for a WE.

What's the problem now?

If you want to bring it over I can take a look at it, With some proper lubrication and a thorough cleaning your gas consumption should get a bit better.

One way to detect for leaks is to make a small batch of soapy water and cover it over your freshly filled magazine and then look for any air bubbles that form. If anyone you know uses a TM hicappa try and see if their mags are compatable, its worth a shot.

WE sold CO2 mags for their guns for years. Although not recommeded for the Dragon specifically, I know guys who have used them with the Dragon and with the 5.1 for years. I used to use them all the time.
