How do I lead the wire into the buffer tube
I have rear wired gearbox and a M4 metal body just bought from Huang.
Yet there's a problem trying to lead the rear wire into the buffer tube. Huang told me the metal body is already milled, but actually the buffer tube and the metal body fits so tight that not a single wire could go through. Could anyone tell me how could this be done? I searched the net and got a thread of wiring a Para, they said you should cut the bottom half of the body tube and guide the wire into the body tube, so when you close on the buffer tube, there won't be any contact of the wire and buffer tube. |

There are two ways...
1. The wires squeeze between the inside of the buffer tube and the outside of the body stub. Do do this, the buffer tube will need a channel running along the inside (like a trough that the wires lay in) and/or the underside of the body stub is flattened or cut out enough so that the wires will fit. Really hard to tell from your pic (actually a pic of the other end of the stock pipe would be good) if your stock pipe has this trough or not. 2. Cut into/through the body stub such that the wiring can go into and out of the body stub. It'll run on the inside. The locking plate for the stock pipe needs to be halfmoon'd or at least cut out for the wires to pass. If your stock pipe/body is not meant to do this...either way is a pain in the butt and a little bit of work. Best of luck...think about what you're doing before you cut into it...can't put this type of metal back after it's been cut off. Tys |

Here ya go dude. Step-by-step in pictures.
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showpos...8&postcount=12 But as m102404 said, your buffer tube has to have a channel groove in order to run the wires to the back. If yours doesn't, you'll need a proper tube or have to do some modding to get it to work.

OKay... I got what you meant... the body tube is not flattened and the buffer tube does not have a channel in side it....
I think I ll try finding something... Quote:

for my gun i cut a small hole into the tube, like this,
and then on the buffer tube, i made a small angled channel, so it didnt squish the wires hope that helps |

If you don't plan on ever or very very very rarely taking your gun apart, then it shouldn't be that much of an issue. |
