NiMh battery pack seems dead
well i have an intellect 9.6v 1400mah battery that ive had for about a 1.5 years, it started acting up after i left it alone for about 2 months of no cycling. Right now it cant power my m4 with an sp100, ive cycled it for about 5 times, its still the same. Anyone know how to revive nimh packs or should i just toss it?

i belive if the cells die to a certain point and are left they can actually reverse polarity, this was the case with one of my batterys anyways, but what you have to do is jump per say each individual cell with 12 volts to get them correctly polarized.
note: i am not held resposible if you end up killing your already dead battery! lol |

have you discharged it anytime? discharging kills Nimh batteries, but is necessary for Nicad ones.

ya i have discharged them but only to cycle them, i read that cycling them could bring them back but it hasn't worked. Ill try charging them at 12volts to see if it works.

Cycling means to bring the voltage down to 1.0V or 1.1V for each cell. Multiplied by the number of cells, an 8 cell pack will be dead at about 8V to 8.8V. Going below this point destroys NiMH and NiCd batteries though NiCds are more robust.

k charging it on 12volts brought some life into it but it still seems weaker than a 8.4. Its able power my gun but with a poor ROF.

k Just be careful, if it becomes hot it can expand and burst. Might be safer to get a replacement. Not sure if this fits the bill but price is decent for a flatpack:
