How to tell which mechbox v2 v3

I have a lycaon mp5 that i decided to practice upgrade it but i cant tell which mechbox version it is

All MP5 varients except the MP5k use a version 2 mechbox.

already done my research and disassembled and reassembled at least twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, also i read through the lycaon review by skladfin and im going to try the parts he suggested and see how it goes. thanks for the quick replies.

Honestly, if you really don't know what is the version of mechbox you are working on then I wouldn't courage to open it and disassemble it, you might end up break it and can't put it back. Take your time use your gun until it break then you have enough reason to open it and do some upgrade stuff.

If it has a rail on the top to hold the mechbox together, then it's a version 3.

If it uses 4 screws on the top, then it's a version 2

Easiest way to tell V2 from V3
V3 = motor is attached to gearbox with a cage
V2 = motor isnt attached
