KSC G19 Spewing Gas after second shot.
When i pull the trigger, it shoots several bbs out, almost like full auto (which the g19 is not supposed to have) and spews all of the gas out in one go. If i try to shoot with no bb's in the magazine, the slide locks back, like it should, but the trigger is being pulled backwards and would spew all the gas out, if the trigger 'safety' were not engaged. (i know i cant explain it very well so i will adda short video so you can see for yourself).
This happened after I received and installed part 87 which, considering my g19 is several years old, had expectantly given out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w1J91vOe3w Last edited by Nick_273; February 14th, 2009 at 22:50.. |

What condition is part #78 in? I had similar issues and it turned out that the oval hole on that part was deformed. After I bent it back and tried it, it just snapped, so I had to replace it. Since your gun is a few years old, like mine, it's worth a look.

Same thing happened to me so I had part 78 replaced some time ago with a milled steel impact hammer (instead of the crappy molded metal). Any other ideas?

Please remove your mag and slide check for a part in the grip above the mag catch this part has no number and is not on the diagrams but on one of my glocks it kept moving up catching the trigger.

I think i know what you mean and the part looks like its still in place. It looks like the hammer isnt locking after the first (manual) cocking of the gun.

Yeah it's a rare problem but I figured we could check. How's your trigger bar looking?

Seems fine too. When the slide is off and i try out the trigger/hammer mechanism everything seems to be working just fine... I've taken this thing apart at least 5 times within a week now and im out of ideas.

SOLVED. Turns out the new sear (the part that locks bad the hammer after each shot) needed to be filed down a bit.
So note to all, before installing replacement parts into a GBB, inspect for any deformities and file them down... took me 3 days and lots of stupid theories to figure that one out |

I'm having the same problem though its probably not the same part responsible.
how do you take apart the parts around the hammer? thanks!

I just went for it and figured it out as i went. Took pictures every 30 seconds to make sure i remember how to put it back together.
I also found a site that describes it step by step afterwards and will be a great help when trying to put it all back together. Here it is: http://unconventional-airsoft.com/20...on-and-review/ If there is something wrong in the hammer assembly it is (most likely) either the impact hammer, or the sear (part which holds the hammer in place after cocking it). Before installing ANY of the replacement parts keep your eye out for any defomities. They are often have sharp edges from either casting or CNC'ing, so use a very fine file to smooth it out. |
