Hicappa bb's rolling out of the barrel
i just got a upgraded tm hicappa 4.3 in a trade a few days ago. it has a upgraded metal infinity slide made by Airsoft surgeon, Airsoft surgeons complete internal upgrade kit, and a PDI palsonite inner barrel.
when ever i cycle the gun, the bb falls out of the end of the barrel. when i cycle the slide slow by hand, the bbs doesn't fall out. i tryed adjusting the hopup, no luck, and made sure there is no excess oil in the chamber. im guessing i might need a new hopup rubber. anything else i missed before i fork out some cash to fix this?

Most likely the hopup. Did you take out the barrel and visually confirm the hopup is changing or turning "on", etc?

the original one is too loose, i found that when i shoot with TM bb's it is okay, but if I use excel bb's i start getting roll outs. it's easy to fix, if you need help just pm me

+1 on this, I had this happen in my old hicappa and the hop-up bar was out of the adjustment wheel and wasnt applying any pressure on the rubber. Easy fix too.

i did remove the barrel and the hopup bar does lower/raise when i move the dial. thanks for all the suggestions though. i swaped out the stronger recoil spring for the stock one and it seems to be working, good temp. fix before i buy a new hopup rubber.

My 2 cents...
This happened to me also, with a brand new KWA M1911ds PTP, that I bought from Mopic. As it turned out, the hop up assembly was missing the hop up ball?? and when it was installed initially, the hop up bucking wasn't set in the assembly right, which resulted in abnormal wear and tearing of the bucking. I bought a new bucking and ball, slapped her back together and all was better than when I first fired her. No stray bb's rolling out of the barrel and it also made the pistol louder and the blow back more crisp. |
