G&G M4A1 Help

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone can help me trouble shoot my problems with my G&G M4A1, I installed a metal hop up unit from G&P and followed a step by step guide online but when I finished and reassembled my gun the fps seemed to be off and some BBs rolled out of the gun so I put the stock hop up back in but this time I painted the lower receiver. When I putting the gun back together the selector switch won't stay in semi and it seems like the gear box has locked up.

Thanks
Lucas

Sounds like you've grounded something, especially if you melted the fuse housing, sounds like you had to big of a fuse in there cause the fuse should of blown to protect the battery and the trigger assembly.

So my battery and switch assembly are no good? I want to know what parts I will need to replace. I'm going to try and bring my gun to a doc this time just to make sure.
How can I tell what version gearbox I have? Mine dose not have the slots for the tabs at the back of the gearbox, I bought the gun new from velocity arms.

All Armalite-style guns have Version 2 mechboxes. And yea, I'd take it to a gun dock. They'll be able to tell you exactly what's wrong with the thing.

As for the BBs rolling down the barrel, check your hop-up rubber, you might have not put the small rubber which pushes the hop-up rubber against the BB.
