G&G CQB-R diassembly problem
I just got myself one of those :
http://www.mach1airsoft.com/web/cata...om&id=30&cat=3 Now I am trying to take it apart to change the body for a KA metal body and I seem to be unable to remove the outer barrel. I have the whole barrel nut and front end removed and I can only barely move the outer barrel. Only thing I noticed is what seems to be a small pin on top of the outer barrel but it's in a small hole which makes it impossible to get to. Is there something here that needs to be done to remove that outer barrel or a part I might have missed ?

I don't know about the new semi-plastic/plastic M4's...but I've heard from at least one other guy that the outer barrel is a really tight fit in the upper. (Which is probably a good thing).
Anyways...on some builds where this has happened...I've used a hardwood dowel, about 2-4 inches longer than the upper reciever, and tapped out the barrel from the reciever. Extra hardwood quarter round trim also works if you have some lying around... Put a towel or a box or a bucket on the floor betwen your feet, hold the upper between your knees, and give it a good whack. I've really had to wallop so barrels to get them out. Holding it between your knees provides so give so not much hard shock is transfered to the receiver. A hard plastic/rubber mallet is a little less "shocking" than a metal hammer as well. Best of luck, Tys |

You are right Tys, barrels are a real tight fit in plastic uppers. Just tried to put a JG barrel into my old plastic M4 upper, and it took a lot of force to get it in, and then out.
You probably just need to give it a good whack like Tys suggested.

It was what you guys were describing. I guess I was just afraid of being hard on it. I'll know for next time.
Thanks for the help.
