JG G36 (TM Mech box)

Hi there,

I jut got a JG G36 through trade. It has been said that it has a TM mech box. I wasn't able to get a battery until this weekend. once charged, i hooked it up and attempted to fire it. The motor clicked like it wanted to turn but it didnt turn.

I was wondering if anyone had this problem and might know of any solutions I can start working on.

Could be a locked up gearbox. Sounds like you don't have the expertise to open it up?

Try another battery that you know works, just to make sure it isn't the battery.

Check your motor adjustment, its probably too high. Theres a screw at the bottom, slowly back it out, say 1/8th turn and fire, continue doing so until it will fire, if you do it to a point it makes a high pitched wine, stop, this means that the gear on the motor and the one in the mech box are barely matching and have minimal tooth engagement. At this point you can either screw it back all the way in and look for the sweet spot again or, completely back the motor out and see if it will run freely to check if the motor is working, however broken motors are known to spin without a load. If the motor spins freely, then something is locked up in the mechbox, same thing if you can't get the motor to turn over with the above method. If it was opened recently, it might have been reshimmed too tightly.

If your gonna see rock n roll outlaw soon pug, drop it off to him and tell him to swing by my place.
