This is about the third time I have opened it up with a flip star screw tool.

Anyways.
Is there a trick to get the little spring on the reversal latch to stay put?

Here are the pics.

Ok, so what are you trying to show in the pictures?

And V2 anti-reversal latches are a bitch. Sometimes if I'm working on a V2 mechbox I have to hold down the latch with a small screwdriver through the motor hole while I close the mechbox shell.

Gears look a little dry.

Yes, thanks for the tip.
It's not to put on the shell and screws, wish me luck!
Trigger is also a bitch, always springs out when you try to put down the latch.

Okay so I find out I have done everything almost right. I think?
I tested it, and see the pistol moving back fast as it is supposed to. But it doesn't release. Even though I did stick my lil tool down the nozzle, it doesn't release, so I pull the trigger, and it's click click.

I tried this with 2 different pistons. The stock piston, and the new element Level 2 piston.

What the heck is wrong?

Your battery or motor isn't powerful enough. Or your battery isn't charged enough.

Hmm I did charge my battery and it was correct.

The motor was running yesterday when I fired it. This morning, I fired automatic about 20 shots and it stopped.

Maybe the motor just lost it's power. Fuck these noname shit.
Hm, maybe one this JG box is done, I'm moving onto systema.

Now I just gotta buy a TM EG1000.

The Element Torque up kit was 300% for the gears, but I didn't bother shoving it in, I shoved in the piston.

Anyways, new motor soon.

Thanks for the help you guys gave us. Sorry these pictures were crappy, I was really frustrated. Hope this thread can help gearbox noobies.

The piston rails on the mechbox shell look extra beefy. Could be causing binding. Sand them down a bit with some wet sandpaper (both halves of the gearbox), try to make the edges as smooth as possible.

And try to test with a different/better battery, like 9.6v sub-c Sanyo cell.

Otherwise the location isn't a science. It corrects itself.
It was my first time opening a V2... I've been collecting gas guns for the most part...

Use a pair of pliers to compress the spring. It will "shrink" a bit and should stay on better...
