would it be a 18+ field, or would there be some games that would let minor's in? with approval from other players, admins, legal guardians of course

To be honest, I'd probably still play there, but less inclined if there was so much media coverage.
Airsoft just isn't one of those things that people should know about, doesn't matter how responsible you look or even how responsible you are, the public will most likely react negatively. They already have some idiot in Toronto telling them that all guns are bad and we need to punish those that own them, who is the public going to believe? A 'bunch of kids' or their mayor? Because yes, to them, we are a bunch of kids playing with guns |

thanks for the input, there will be minor start up costs since i know ppl who wil lgive me anything construction wise for free...including labour.
the field will be easy to run since im not going through many expenses, and i know airsoft is not a moneymaker. its a fun past time that. competing with fields is easy, like I said, i have acess to almost free building and unlimited building supplies, including gravel, pavement, broken cars, barrels, tires, wood, electrical wiring etc... its now up to the owner, which from looks of it is hesitant, but if this flyes this will be one of the best fields in Ontario, simply because i have a few professional interior designers and a building contrator helping me. just the guy that needs to be convinced who owns the land. |

lets not forget INSURANCE, to protect the owner
as you do not own the land, you can't really choose to accept the liability. Also.. make sure you check with Halton region to ensure this is an approved use for the land in question.. You could be getting hopes up ( yours and others) only to find out its a non starter. do your homework and when you know this thing is a go... then announce that you are going to open a field.
